Required Documents for Malaysian Visa

Personal Documents

  • Valid Passport: (06 months’ validity from the date of entry with some blank pages)
  • Passport Photograph: (Recent passport-size photograph with white background and clear facial image)
  • CNIC Copy
  • Return Flight Reservation: (Confirmed Return Tickets or onward travel booking)
  • Hotel Reservation: (Confirmed hotel booking or invitation letter. If staying with relatives, then accommodation details are a must)
  • Proof of Financial Means (Last 06 months bank statement and must have sufficient funds to cover all expenses)

Note: A consistent banking history is preferable to a sudden large deposit.

Employment & Business Documents

  • Employees must provide an employment letter, Salary Slip and approved leave evidence. 
  • Business Owners must provide Business Registration Certificate, NTN, Company Profile and Chamber of Commerce Certificate. 
  • Students must provide a student ID and his/her Enrollment letter.

Malaysia eVISA Application Process (Step by Step)

Step 1: Create an Account

Create an Account: Apply through the official Malaysia eVISA portal: Malaysia MYVISA Portal. Create your account and verify your email.

Step 2: Complete the Online Application

  • Passport information
  • Personal details
  • Travel dates
  • Purpose of visit
  • Accommodation information

Every detail must be cross-checked and verified carefully.

Step 3: Upload Documents

Scanned copies of the following documents must be uploaded:

  • Passport
  • Photograph
  • CNIC (if requested)
  • Bank statement
  • Flight reservation
  • Hotel booking
  • Employment or business documents (where applicable)

Step 4: Pay the Visa Fee

Pay the eVISA fee online via debit or credit card. Ensure your card is enabled for international payments before proceeding. Fees may vary, so confirm the current amount on the official portal. Visa fees are non-refundable.

Step 5: Wait for Processing

After payment, your application moves to review. Processing typically takes 3 to 5 working days. Apply at least 2 weeks before travel to avoid delays. You will be notified via email once a decision is made.

Step 6: Receive Your eVISA

If approved, your eVISA will be sent to your registered email. After receiving it, the traveler must print a copy and keep a soft copy in his/her cell phone.

Important Note 

Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC):

All foreign travelers, including Pakistani nationals, are generally required to complete the Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC) online within 3 days before arrival.

Family Visit Visa Requirements

If visiting family, your host may provide:

  • Invitation letter
  • Copy of Malaysian ID or residence permit
  • Proof of address
  • Contact details

Relationship documents such as a marriage or birth certificate may also be requested.

Business Visit Visa Requirements

Business visitors should include:

  • Invitation letter from the Malaysian company
  • Meeting schedule
